Panache Hotel Group bolsters Melbourne portfolio with addition of Mantra 100 Exhibition

  • Panache Hotel Group has assumed management of Mantra 100 Exhibition, a centrally located apartment-hotel in Melbourne’s coveted “Paris end” of Exhibition Street.
  • Marks PHG’s second major capital-city addition in two months, underscoring strong national growth momentum.
  • Strengthens PHG’s Melbourne presence, joining Peppers Docklands and Melbourne City Suites within the group’s expanding Victorian portfolio.
  • Demonstrates PHG’s specialist capability in apartment-style and strata-titled assets, with a proven track record of repositioning properties and driving performance uplift.

Melbourne, Australia – 10 December 2025: Panache Hotel Group (PHG) has assumed management of Mantra 100 Exhibition Melbourne from 8 December, marking another milestone in the group’s national expansion and reinforcing its position as one of Australasia’s most agile independent operators.

The signing follows PHG’s recent addition of The Sebel Sydney Chatswood on 12 November, and continues the strong momentum behind the group’s transformation-led growth strategy. With Mantra 100 Exhibition joining Peppers Docklands and Melbourne City Suites, PHG now operates three high-performing assets across Melbourne’s CBD and fringe precincts.

Located at the ‘Paris end’ of Exhibition Street, Mantra 100 Exhibition offers spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments with separate living areas, fully equipped kitchens and sweeping city views. Its position places guests at the heart of Melbourne’s cultural, retail and dining scene, with effortless access to the MCG, Rod Laver Arena and major event venues.

This latest signing further deepens PHG’s partnership with Accor, which now spans four properties across three states – Peppers Docklands Melbourne, Mantra on Hay Perth, The Sebel Sydney Chatswood, and now Mantra 100 Exhibition. The relationship is evolving quickly and strategically, underpinned by shared ambition and a focus on commercial performance. Guests will continue to enjoy the Mantra experience and can sign up to become a member of ALL Accor, Accor’s lifestyle loyalty programme, to unlock a range of exclusive benefits.

Wilson Bao, Chief Executive Officer of Panache Hotel Group, said the addition of Mantra 100 Exhibition reinforces the group’s disciplined but ambitious growth trajectory:

“Panache is in a strong growth phase, and Mantra 100 Exhibition is another marker of the momentum we’re generating across the country. Our partnership with Accor continues to deepen in meaningful ways, now spanning Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. When a global brand and an agile operator combine their strengths, you unlock even greater performance – and this addition is a great example of that.”

Thomas John (TJ), Vice President – Strategy & Development at Panache Hotel Group, said the property is exactly the type of asset where PHG excels.

“Mantra 100 Exhibition is a well-located, high-potential property, and we are excited to bring PHG’s commercial focus and operational discipline to help take it to its full potential. We specialise in elevating established assets with strong fundamentals – sharpening positioning, refining operations and building on performance.”

PHG’s growth is powered by its proprietary lanchise” model – a hybrid of leasing and franchising that provides owners with income certainty and brands with a nimble operator capable of delivering results. Combined with traditional HMAs, the model gives PHG the flexibility to partner with both global and independent brands across a wide range of asset types and locations.

With this latest addition, PHG continues to progress toward its ambition to double its portfolio by late 2026, supported by a strong pipeline of opportunities across metro and regional markets in Australia and New Zealand.
